Alonzo Aims to Break Formula-K Duck in Regional Bambino Return

Alonzo de Oliveira returns to Benoni’s Formula-K Raceway this weekend for Round 5 of the 2025 Northern Regions Rotax Kart Championship. Fresh off being crowned the South African Bambino National Champion, the Motorsport Fanatix™ ambassador and Stretto Racing driver will now turn his focus back to the regional series, where he leads the standings with a strong cushion.

Despite dominating much of the season, Formula-K remains unfinished business for Alonzo. At the season opener in March, he was denied a heat win by mechanical misfortune, settling for a podium instead. This time around, with his confidence bolstered by national success, he will be eager to add a Formula-K victory to his 2025 record and further consolidate his regional championship lead.

The action takes place on Saturday, 27 September, with qualifying and three race heats set to decide the overall winner. Spectators are welcome to attend, with free entry promising fans an exciting day of wheel-to-wheel racing.
