Josh Moore Targets Progress at Killarney

Josh Moore returns to Cape Town this weekend for the penultimate round of the 2026 Astron Energy Polo Cup Championship at Killarney International Raceway.

The Worx Motorsport SA driver is approaching the final stages of his rookie Polo Cup season with considerably more experience and confidence than when the championship last visited the Western Cape circuit.

Killarney’s fast and flowing layout rewards commitment, accuracy and a well-balanced car. With limited opportunities to recover from a mistake, qualifying will be particularly important in a closely contested field where small margins can separate several positions.

Having already raced at the circuit this season, Moore returns with a better understanding of its demands and valuable information from his previous visit. That experience should allow him and the team to begin the weekend with a stronger baseline as they work towards closing the gap to the established front runners.

Moore has steadily developed throughout his first national season, gaining experience in one of South Africa’s most competitive one-make championships. The Cape Town weekend offers another chance to build on that progress and turn his improving pace into two strong race results.

“I’m looking forward to returning to Killarney because we now have a much better understanding of the circuit and what we need from the car,” said Moore. “The championship is incredibly competitive, so qualifying well and putting together two clean races will be important. I want to show the progress we have made and finish the weekend with results that reflect our pace. The weekend begins with three practice sessions and qualifying on Friday. Moore will then line up for two championship races on Saturday as the 2026 season enters its decisive closing phase.
