Three Wins, Three Points: Cornofsky Leads Close Regional Mini ROK Fight
The Northern Regions ROK Karting Championship returns to Red Star Raceway this weekend for Round 3, with Kayde Cornofsky leading the Mini ROK standings by a slender three-point margin. The Xtreme Racing Team driver has already claimed three victories from six races this season, underlining his status as a serious title contender.
Kayde’s journey through the 2025 campaign has been a testament to his grit and consistency. Two wins at Red Star Raceway in Round 1 and another at Zwartkops’ Round 2 showcased his outright pace. At the same time, his ability to recover from setbacks has kept him firmly in the championship hunt. As the championship reaches its midway point, Kayde is determined to build on his momentum and widen the gap at the top.
“Red Star hasn’t always been kind to me, but it’s a track I enjoy racing at,” says Kayde. “We’ve had some mixed results there before, and with the championship being so close, every race counts. The focus is on clean racing, maximising points, and continuing to fight for that number one spot.”
The weekend's action kicks off with practice sessions on Friday, setting the stage for a competitive Saturday featuring qualifying and three race heats. With a tightly-packed field and local pride on the line, spectators can expect exciting wheel-to-wheel battles throughout the day.
Kayde continues to receive invaluable support from Allegiance Properties, Canario Cornofsky Attorneys, Calisto’s Portuguese Restaurant, Smith Garage, the 357, and AMW.
