Tyler Robinson Ready for Zolder as German Polo Cup Campaign Continues
Tyler Robinson returns to European competition this weekend as her German Polo Cup campaign continues at the historic Circuit Zolder in Belgium.
The South African racer will take on another demanding weekend in the competitive one-make championship, which forms part of the DMV Goodyear Racing Days programme. The German Polo Cup has quickly become an important platform for Tyler as she continues to build her international racing career, gaining valuable experience against new competitors, at new circuits, and in a different racing environment.
Circuit Zolder, located in Heusden-Zolder, is one of Belgium’s most recognised motorsport venues. The 4.011 km circuit is known for its fast straights, technical chicanes, heavy braking zones and limited margin for error. A former Formula One venue, Zolder remains a challenging circuit that rewards precision, confidence and consistency over a full race weekend.
Tyler’s programme begins with practice on Friday, giving her the opportunity to settle into the circuit and continue adapting to the left-hand-drive German Polo Cup car. Saturday will see the intensity rise with Qualifying 1, Race 1 and Qualifying 2, before Sunday brings Race 2, Qualifying 3 and the final race of the weekend.
While Tyler has proven herself a front-running contender in the local SATC SupaCup class, her European campaign has presented a completely different challenge. The left-hand-drive Polo Cup car, unfamiliar circuits and the demands of racing abroad have all added to the learning curve.
Despite this, Tyler has continued to show a strong pace and determination, proving why she is regarded as one of South Africa’s leading female circuit racers. Each outing has added to her experience and confidence as she continues to take important steps in her international motorsport journey.
With her focus now firmly on Europe, Tyler will be looking to keep building momentum at Zolder and continue flying the South African flag on the international stage.
