Anastasia Gerasis Makes Investchem MSA4 History at Aldo Scribante

Anastasia Gerasis delivered a landmark performance at Aldo Scribante Racetrack on Saturday, becoming the first female driver to finish on the overall Investchem MSA4 podium.

The Kokoro Racing Academy driver secured third overall following two composed performances at the Gqeberha circuit. Her achievement carried additional significance as South Africa celebrates Women’s Month throughout August.

Gerasis began the day from fifth on the Race 1 grid. Starting from the third row, she completed the opening ten-lap contest in seventh position to remain in contention for a strong overall result.

She produced an even more impressive drive in Race 2. Gerasis climbed to fourth and narrowly missed an individual race podium, with her pace ranking among the strongest in the field. Her two results were enough to elevate the Apex Cordset-backed driver to third in the combined classification.

Gerasis shared the overall podium with Kokoro Racing Academy teammate Aqil Alibhai, who won both races and secured the overall victory. Mikel Bezuidenhout split the two Kokoro drivers in second place.

The result represents an important step in Gerasis’s development during her second season in South Africa’s leading and only national single-seater championship. She made her Investchem MSA4 debut in 2025 after gaining valuable international karting experience, including representing South Africa in the Champions of the Future Academy Programme.

Her karting career exposed her to competition in Europe and the Middle East before she progressed into “wings-and-slicks” racing. That experience has helped prepare the young South African driver of Greek heritage for the demands of an intensely competitive MSA4 field.

Gerasis’s Aldo Scribante achievement matters not only for her career but also for female representation in South African motorsport. Reaching the overall podium shows the progress women are making at the sharp end of national racing.

To accomplish the feat during Women’s Month makes the occasion even more meaningful. It celebrates Gerasis’s determination while providing another visible milestone for young women working towards their own place on the motorsport grid.

A weekend that began with Gerasis lining up fifth ended with her standing alongside the championship’s leading competitors. In doing so, she secured a memorable result for herself, Kokoro Racing Academy and women in South African motorsport.
