Chase Ready for Aldo Scribante Debut as MSA4 Heads to Eastern Cape

Chase Haskins will continue his Investchem MSA4 Championship campaign next weekend when Round 4 takes the field to the Aldo Scribante Raceway in Gqeberha, marking the championship’s first visit to the Eastern Cape this season.

The young rookie has been one of the standout newcomers in the 2026 field, steadily building momentum in what remains one of South Africa’s most competitive junior single-seater championships. Despite still being in the early stages of his circuit racing journey, Chase has shown consistent progress, racecraft, and maturity beyond his experience level.

Currently tied for 10th in the championship standings, Chase remains within striking distance of the top five, with only a handful of points separating him from several more experienced campaigners. Having scored points consistently over the last two rounds, the 14-year-old continues to underline his status as the top rookie in the field and one of the country’s exciting up-and-coming young talents.

The Aldo Scribante Raceway will present a fresh challenge for Chase, who will make his first race appearance at the fast, narrow and technical Gqeberha circuit. However, the young driver has already had the opportunity to get some laps under his belt during practice at the track this week, leaving him feeling positive ahead of the race weekend.

While Chase felt comfortable with the circuit during his first outing, he knows that race day will demand full focus and precision. With limited room for error and a layout that rewards commitment and technical accuracy, the Eastern Cape event will be another important test in his ongoing development.

“I’m really looking forward to racing at Aldo Scribante for the first time,” said Chase. “We managed to practise at the track this week, and I felt really good in the car. It’s a narrow and technical circuit, though, so on race day I know I’ll have to be on top of my game. The level in MSA4 is very high, and I’m enjoying the challenge of competing against some of the best drivers in South Africa. Every time I get in the car, I’m learning more and more, and the goal is to keep improving, score more points, and keep moving forward.”

The weekend will get underway on Thursday with practice, giving Chase further time to prepare before the competitive action begins. Friday will see more practice before qualifying sets the grid, followed by Saturday’s two races as the Investchem MSA4 Championship reaches another important stage of the season.
