Cornofsky Carries Mini ROK Lead into Crucial Formula-K National Double-Header

Kayde Cornofsky heads to Formula-K Raceway in Benoni this weekend for the fifth and sixth rounds of the National ROK Cup Karting Championship, carrying the Mini ROK championship lead into what is expected to be one of the most important weekends of the season.

The Xtreme Racing Team driver, a former National Kid ROK Champion, has been one of the standout performers in the highly competitive Mini ROK field. With seven victories and four additional podium finishes already to his name this season, Cornofsky has combined outright pace with impressive consistency in a championship where every heat has carried significant weight.

Formula-K Raceway now presents the next major test in his title campaign. The Benoni circuit is well known for producing close racing, demanding precision under braking, strong racecraft through traffic, and the ability to manage pressure over a full weekend. With two national rounds on offer, the points swing could prove decisive as the championship battle continues to tighten.

For Cornofsky, the objective will be clear: protect the championship lead, continue building momentum, and maximise every opportunity across qualifying and the race heats.

“It has been a strong season so far, but the championship is still very close, and we know how important this weekend is,” said Kayde. “Formula-K is a track where you need to be sharp from the first session. I’m feeling confident, and the goal is to stay focused, race cleanly, and keep fighting at the front.”

Having already proven himself as a national champion in Kid ROK, Cornofsky has continued to mature into one of the leading contenders in Mini ROK. His campaign has been built on speed, resilience, and the support of the Xtreme Racing Team stable, with Leeroy Poulter and the team playing an important role in his continued development.

The weekend will see competitors tackle practice, qualifying and multiple heat races as the National ROK Cup season reaches a critical stage. With valuable championship points available across both rounds, Cornofsky will be aiming to leave Benoni with his title charge firmly intact.

Kayde extends his sincere thanks to his sponsors, Allegiance Properties, Canario Cornofsky Attorneys, Calisto’s Portuguese Restaurant, Smith Garage, the 357 and AMW, as well as the Xtreme Racing Team, for their continued support.
