Haskins Back in Karting Action at Formula-K
Chase Haskins returns to karting this weekend as Rounds 5 and 6 of the National ROK Cup Karting Championship head to Formula-K Raceway in Benoni.
It has been a strong OK-N debut season for the Kokoro Racing Academy driver, who only started karting less than a year ago. Despite being one of the least experienced drivers on the grid, Chase has quickly made his presence felt, regularly mixing it with and beating competitors with far more seat time.
The Johannesburg teenager has already claimed seven podium finishes this season, including one race win, and has firmly established himself as one of the standout rookies in the championship. With another double-header weekend ahead, Chase will be looking to keep that momentum going as he continues his push towards a first karting title.
Formula-K is a circuit that demands commitment, precision and consistency, and this weekend’s races are expected to be another tough test. For Chase, the weekend is also an important opportunity to stay sharp and race-fit as he continues to balance his karting programme with his rookie season in the Investchem MSA4 Championship, South Africa’s premier single-seater series.
While he is still early in his racing journey, Chase has shown impressive growth, maturity and determination throughout the season. This weekend, he will be aiming to add to his podium tally and strengthen his championship challenge at one of South Africa’s most competitive karting venues.
