Max Boshoff Returns to OK-Junior Duty at Formula-K Raceway

Max Boshoff returns to karting action this weekend as the ROK Cup South Africa championship heads to Formula-K Raceway in Benoni for another national double-header weekend.

Fresh from an impressive Junior MAX debut at the recent Africa Open, where he underlined his adaptability and racecraft in unfamiliar machinery, Max now switches back to his more familiar OK-Junior kart. Racing out of the Kokoro Racing Academy stable, the young Capetonian will be aiming to convert his growing pace and consistency into a breakthrough result on one of Gauteng’s most technical, yet fast-flowing, kart circuits.

Formula-K Raceway is known for rewarding commitment, precision and racecraft, with its combination of flowing sections, braking zones and overtaking opportunities often producing close, hard-fought racing. For Max, the weekend presents another opportunity to build on a season in which he has shown regular front-running potential.

Although victory has narrowly eluded him so far this season, Max has come close on several occasions and has already been in podium contention across the opening rounds. With six strong podium-challenging performances behind him, the Kokoro Racing Academy driver will be determined to turn that promise into a top-step result as the championship battle intensifies.

The double-header format will place added importance on consistency, qualifying execution and race management, with valuable points available across both national rounds. For Max, the objective will be to remain sharp from the opening practice sessions, position himself strongly in qualifying and fight at the front throughout the weekend’s heats.

Having already shown his ability to adapt between categories, Max’s return to OK-Junior machinery comes at an important point in his campaign. With momentum from his Africa Open performance and renewed focus on his primary ROK Cup programme, he will be one to watch when the lights go out at Formula-K Raceway.
