Dominant De Oliveira Sweeps Bambino Field at Vereeniging

Motorsport Fanatix™ brand ambassador Alonzo de Oliveira delivered a flawless performance at the second round of the 2025 South African Rotax MAX Challenge at Vereeniging Kart Circuit, claiming pole position, victory in all three heats, and the fastest lap of the weekend.

Returning to a circuit where he has a history of dominance, Alonzo immediately set the tone by topping Friday practice before storming to pole position in qualifying. From there, he was simply unstoppable. The talented Stretto Racing driver showcased supreme pace and racecraft across the day’s three heats. In each outing, Alonzo launched strongly from the front row, managed his races with maturity beyond his years, and controlled the field from the front to cross the line first each time.

Underlining his authority, Alonzo set the fastest lap of the Bambino field over the weekend, a blistering 1:05.491, further highlighting his growing reputation as one of South Africa’s standout young talents.

“It feels amazing to win all three heats and get the fastest lap,” said an elated Alonzo. “We worked really hard after Killarney and it all came together perfectly this weekend. A massive thank you to my team, my family, and all my sponsors for their support – this one’s for them!”

The victory strengthens Alonzo’s national title ambitions as he now leads the way in the Bambino class.
