Max Boshoff Banks Mini MAX Podium Hat Trick to Finish Runner-Up

Cape Town's Max Boshoff continued his strong 2025 form with a fighting runner-up finish at the second round of the South African Rotax MAX Challenge (SARMC) held at Vereeniging Kart Circuit.

Heading into the weekend as the national Mini MAX championship leader following a dominant Round 1 performance, Max proved his consistency and racecraft by securing podium finishes in all three heats, including a victory in the opening heat.

The weekend kicked off with an intra-stable battle between Max and his Xtreme Racing Team teammate, Brodi Dowling. Max emerged victorious in a closely fought contest, taking a hard-earned win and maintaining his championship advantage early in the day.

Despite substantial challenges from his rivals, Max held firm to secure two more podium finishes. He courageously drove from seventh to third in Heat 2, and the intense racing continued in the final heat. Max remained in the thick of the action, securing a runner-up finish. His trio of podiums ensured he finished second overall for the day.

Max, however, remains at the helm of the championship table despite having his lead reduced slightly as the championship marks its halfway mark.

"Overall, it was a really good weekend," said Max. "We fought hard in every race and kept it consistent with three podiums. While it's not the perfect result, we're still in the championship lead, I believe. Now the focus shifts to coming back stronger for the next round."

With two rounds remaining in the 2025 South African Rotax MAX Challenge, Max remains firmly in title contention with iDube Raceway as the host for Round 3 in June.

Max is back in action this weekend with the WPMC Karting Championship resuming at Killarney Kart Circuit.
