Kayde Cornofsky Set for All-or-Nothing Showdown in National ROK Finale
The 2025 National ROK Cup Kart Championship reaches its climax this weekend at Red Star Raceway, where Johannesburg’s Kayde Cornofsky will look to close his season with maximum effort in the Mini ROK class.
A former National Kid ROK Champion in 2023, Kayde has grown into one of the most determined drivers on the grid in his second season at the Mini ROK level. Heading into the finale, he sits second in the standings with 265 points, just behind championship leader Max Boshoff on 283 points, with Santiago Frade, Zac Boshoff, and Logan Billau all in striking distance.
Consistency has been Kayde’s hallmark across the season. From gritty comebacks to determined podium charges, the Xtreme Racing Team driver has refused to give up in any heat. That resilience will be vital again this weekend, as every point on offer will count.
“I know the gap is big, but I’m not arriving at Red Star to settle for second,” said Cornofsky. “This is the final round, and I’ll give absolutely everything I have. Whatever the outcome, I want to end the season knowing I left nothing on the table.”
With four heats set to decide the championship, expect high drama and exhilarating wheel-to-wheel racing as South Africa’s top young talents battle it out for the title of national champion.
Cornofsky continues to be backed by Allegiance Properties, Canario Cornofsky Attorneys, Calisto’s Portuguese Restaurant, Smith Garage, the 357, and AMW.
