Jack Moore On Track to Defend National OK-Junior Title

Jack Moore enters this weekend’s ROK Cup South Africa finale at Red Star Raceway with momentum firmly on his side and his eyes set on defending his national OK-Junior crown.

From the very first round of the season at Red Star Raceway, the reigning champion showed he meant business. Despite challenging conditions, Jack secured pole position and delivered a trio of podiums that placed him second overall on the day. Round 2 at Killarney underlined his status as the driver to beat, once again setting pole, overcoming setbacks with nose-cone penalties, and storming to a commanding final heat win that kept his title defence on track.

His home race at Celso Scribante Raceway proved decisive. Jack lit up qualifying with a blistering lap before going on to dominate two of the three heats. He capped the weekend with overall victory and a large haul of points, crucially reclaiming the championship lead.

Across the season so far, Jack has notched up four heat wins and has only missed the podium once, a record that speaks volumes about his speed, consistency, and racecraft. Heading into the final round, he tops the standings on 295 points, with nearest rival Reagile Mailula 10 points adrift.

Reflecting on his campaign, Jack credited his team and supporters:

“This year has tested me in so many ways, but we’ve always found a way to fight back. To be leading going into the final round is a huge boost, and I’ll be giving everything to finish the job for my team and sponsors.”

With one round left, Jack is not only chasing another championship but also cementing his reputation as one of South Africa’s brightest young karting talents.
