Robinson Carries German Polo Cup Momentum Into Zwartkops SupaCup Weekend

Fresh off her debut outing in the German Polo Cup, Tyler Robinson now shifts her focus back to local competition as she prepares for Round 3 of the South African Touring Cars SupaCup Championship at Zwartkops Raceway next weekend. The teenage racer heads into the Pretoria event sitting third in the championship standings after an impressive opening phase to her rookie SupaCup campaign.

Already a regular top-five finisher in South Africa’s premier front-wheel-drive championship, Tyler etched her name into the history books during Round 2 at Red Star Raceway by securing a landmark podium finish. The result further underlined the rapid progress of the former FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars finalist, who continues to establish herself against some of the country’s most experienced touring car competitors.

While still a SupaCup debutant in 2026, Tyler heads to Zwartkops with valuable experience around the tight and technical Pretoria circuit. Having competed at the venue across several categories over the past few years, the familiarity with the layout could prove a key advantage as she looks to continue her strong championship challenge.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back into SupaCup after Germany,” said Tyler. “The experience overseas taught me a lot, and I’m excited to apply what I learned at a circuit I know really well. Zwartkops is always challenging because the racing is so close, but the goal is to keep building momentum and fight for more strong results.”

The action gets underway next Friday with a full day of practice before an early morning qualifying session and two races headline Saturday’s programme.
