Strong Zwartkops Finish Caps Breakthrough Season for Tyler Robinson
The 2025 Astron Energy Polo Cup season concluded at Zwartkops Raceway yesterday, with Tyler Robinson once again demonstrating not only her speed and skill in South Africa’s leading one-make championship but also cementing her status as South Africa’s top circuit racer.
After a stellar 2025 campaign that saw her claim a breakthrough victory at Kyalami earlier this season and several top-five finishes thereafter, the young star from Johannesburg concluded her season on a high, laying the perfect foundation for what could be an international campaign in 2026.
Starting the final round strongly, Tyler qualified fifth before claiming second in the SuperPole Shootout. From the front row for Race 1, she delivered a solid drive to finish third, her fifth podium of the season. In Race 2, she continued to impress, improving one position to take fourth place after an intense ten-lap scrap with some of the championship’s frontrunners. Her combined results placed her fourth overall for the round, a fitting conclusion to a season defined by progress, poise, and perseverance.
“Finishing the season with another strong result is incredibly satisfying,” said Tyler. “We’ve made huge strides this year, and I’m proud of how far we’ve come as a team. Every race has taught me something valuable, and I’m excited to take those lessons into 2026.”
Robinson’s performances throughout 2025 have not gone unnoticed. As one of the standout female competitors in South African circuit racing, she is now eyeing an opportunity to race abroad, with discussions underway for a potential entry into the Polo Cup Germany in 2026.
“Competing internationally has always been a dream,” Tyler added. “We’ve proven that we have the speed and racecraft to be competitive, and I’m determined to take the next step.”
Supported this season by AF Fans, Freem, and RKT Motorsport, Tyler's journey continues to inspire young female racers across South Africa.
