Alonzo De Oliveira Eyes Triple Bambino Crown Glory

The stage is set for the final round of the Northern Regions Rotax Kart Championships, where South Africa’s standout Bambino driver, Alonzo de Oliveira, is on the brink of completing a near-perfect season. Having already claimed the 2025 African Open and the National Bambino Championship, Alonzo now heads into the regional finale poised to add yet another title to his name.

Throughout 2025, the Motorsport Fanatix ambassador has displayed an incredible combination of pace, racecraft, and composure, attributes that have made him a benchmark in South African karting. His regional season began with a solid foundation at the opening rounds, where he consistently finished on the podium, allowing him to grow in confidence and performance. Since then, the Johannesburg driver has claimed 10 outright victories and three further podiums.

The regional campaign has mirrored his national success. From the first outing, Alonzo set the tone with commanding wins, intelligent race management, and flawless starts. His ability to handle pressure, often leading from the front with rivals chasing, has been a defining feature of his 2025 season. Week after week, he’s shown the same determination and joy that have become his trademarks on and off the track.

Now, with the final regional round just days away, Alonzo holds an unassailable lead as the championship heads to Zwartkops Kart Raceway. But true to form, he has no plans to take it easy. His love for racing and hunger for victory remain undiminished, and he is determined to end the season on a high by adding a few more heat wins to his growing list of achievements.

For Alonzo, 2025 has been nothing short of extraordinary, a season that has seen him conquer at every level: African Open Champion, National Champion, and soon, potentially, Northern Regions Champion. As he prepares for the final race weekend, there’s little doubt that the young driver from Stretto Racing will once again give everything in pursuit of the chequered flag.

Alonzo is backed by Ceelin South Africa, Y2KGermiston, MSLB Projects, Amigo Portugueses, Freddy Hirsch, S.Y. Wholesale, HPP, and Hercules Foods.
