Cornofsky Crowned 2025 Northern Regions Mini ROK Champion
Kayde Cornofsky wrapped up a stellar 2025 season in emphatic style at Red Star Raceway this afternoon, securing the Northern Regions Mini ROK Championship title after another strong performance in the final round of the series.
The Xtreme Racing Team driver qualified on pole, once again setting the pace in a tightly matched field. In Heat 1, Kayde battled hard with championship rival Santiago Frade, crossing the line second by just 0.322 seconds, while recording the fastest lap of the race.
Heat 2 proved more challenging. After being forced to retire one lap from the finish, Kayde was classified fifth, but showed strong pace throughout, setting laps quicker than the leaders. Determined to end the day on a high, he bounced back in Heat 3 with a commanding drive to third place, once again demonstrating his trademark composure and consistency.
His results were enough to secure third overall on the day and seal the 2025 Northern Regions Mini ROK Championship after a season of exceptional performances.
This triumph caps off an outstanding year for the former Kid ROK National Champion, who also impressed on the national stage. Across the 2025 National ROK Cup Championship season, Kayde showcased front-running speed and poise, finishing as National Mini ROK Vice-Champion, highlighted by multiple podiums and heat wins.
Reflecting on the achievement, an elated Kayde said:
“This season has been incredible. We worked hard all year, and to end it as Northern Regions Champion feels amazing. The competition has been tough, but my team gave me a fantastic kart every round. I can’t thank them and my sponsors enough for making this possible.”
