Luhan De Wet Ready to Seal Title and Earn Team SA Call-Up

Centurion’s Luhan de Wet, proudly representing Motorsport Fanatix™ as an ambassador, heads into the final round of the 2025 South African Rotax MAX Challenge leading the Micro MAX championship. The talented Louis Leipoldt Primary student has been in superb form all season, combining race wins with consistent podiums to put himself in a prime position for the title decider.

This weekend at Zwartkops Kart Raceway, the pressure will be at its peak as the format switches from the usual three heats to four, meaning every result will carry even greater weight. While outright victories are not essential for Luhan to secure the crown, podium finishes across the heats will be critical to maintaining his points advantage.

With temperatures expected to climb to around 30 degrees off-track, the heat will add another layer of challenge for drivers, testing their endurance and consistency in the cockpit. For Luhan, the stakes could not be higher: a second national championship title is within reach, along with a coveted ticket to represent Team South Africa at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Bahrain, the event widely regarded as the Olympics of karting.

Reflecting on the weekend ahead, Luhan shared: “I know it’s going to be tough with four heats and the competition pushing hard, but I’m ready to fight for every podium. Winning another national title and representing South Africa in Bahrain has been my dream all season, and I’ll give it everything to make it happen.”

As he prepares for the showdown, Luhan remains focused and determined to finish the season on a high. With the support of his team, family, and backers, the Centurion star is ready to give his all in pursuit of national glory and an international stage.
