Second Aldo Chance Fuels Haskins

Chase Haskins will return to the Aldo Scribante Raceway later this week when the Investchem MSA4 Championship makes an unexpected second visit to the Eastern Cape circuit.

The event was initially scheduled to take place at the East London Grand Prix Circuit, but changes to the season calendar will see the championship return to Aldo Scribante instead.

For Haskins, the revised schedule presents an early opportunity to make amends following a demanding maiden outing at the circuit. The MSA4 rookie endured a difficult opening race on the previous visit, when an accident led to a retirement and left the Kokoro Racing Academy team with extensive repairs to complete.

Thanks to an impressive effort by the team, Haskins returned to the grid for the second race and gained valuable experience on the tight, technically demanding circuit.

Although the weekend did not deliver the results he had hoped for, it provided important lessons for the 14-year-old, who remains in his first season of both circuit racing and the Investchem MSA4 Championship. He now returns with greater knowledge of the track, a better understanding of its demands and added determination to produce a stronger performance.

“Going back to Aldo so soon gives me an opportunity to put what I learnt during the previous round into practice,” said Haskins. “It was a difficult weekend, but it taught me a lot about the circuit and how quickly things can change in racing. I know where I need to improve, and I’m determined to make the most of this second opportunity. The goal is to have a clean weekend, keep progressing and show what we are capable of.”

Aldo Scribante’s narrow layout and limited margin for error will once again test the young field. However, Haskins heads into the weekend better prepared and eager to reward the Kokoro Racing Academy team with the performance their continued commitment deserves.

The action gets underway on Friday with official practice followed by two feature races on Saturday.
